Wells Junior High Counseling.

I stay in touch with students through their Google classrooms and emails.   If you would like counseling services to be provided, please reach out to me at [email protected].
Classroom Guidance
Once per six weeks there is a classroom counseling lesson for each grade level.  Topics are relevant to the whole group and will focus on preparing for the future.  Topics may include self-esteem, bullying, test anxiety, organization, and more.
Individual Counseling
Individual and small group counseling is available at the parent or teacher's request.  Parents will always be contacted and asked for consent before any individual or group counseling takes place.  Counseling will address issues that are affecting learning.  These can include, but are not limited to, getting along with others, anger management, organization and study skills, divorce, anxiety, or grief,
GT Testing
Please contact Tiffanie Smith or a classroom teacher at any time if you would like your child tested for the Gifted and Talented Program.

Solution Focused Counseling

Solution Focused Counseling concentrates on finding solutions in the present time and exploring the student's hope for the future to find quicker resolution of problems. This method takes the approach that you know what you need to do to improve your own life and, with the appropriate coaching and questioning, are capable of finding the best solutions.
